ACM-W UK is happy to announce our Careers in Tech webinars coming up in the first quarter of 2021.

Each session would feature a guest from industry or academia who are leaders in their professions to talk about careers in technology, how to get in and make progress once in. As part of the webinars’ tech experts would share insights on developing careers in tech. They would also cover various aspects such as what recruiting managers are looking for, the interview process and after getting in, how to develop and grow in tech careers.  There will also be question and answer sessions to go through your questions and discuss with our guests. Our guest for the first webinar (Friday 5th February) is Gbemi Adesemowo.

Gbemi Adesemowo.

Gbemi is a Vice President in the Prime Services Technology division at BNP Paribas bank in New Jersey where she is responsible for managing the implementation of large-scale, complex financial systems.
Her career in financial services technology started in the City of London after which she moved to New York where she has worked with multiple global financial services institutions.

Gbemi has a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering at the Obafemi Awolowo University Nigeria, a post-graduate diploma in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, a Masters in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester in the UK and a MBA from Columbia University. She currently resides in Bayonne, New Jersey.
