ACM-W UK Inspire 2019
ACM-W UK Celebration of Women in Computing – Inspire Conference 2019 will take place on September 6, 2019 at University of Kent, UK.
ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members and working in the broader community to advance the contributions of women in technical fields.
The theme of this year INSPIRE Conference 2019 is “Rising Together”. Therefore, the programme will have some exciting talks on supporting, mentoring and advocating women to achieve their full potential in both tech industry and academia and how to bridge the gap between academia and the industry. The conference programme also includes some emerging research in the area of AI, specifically focusing on steps towards building “Diversity in AI”.

Call for Poster submission:
The conference invites students (Undergrad, Master, PhD)/post-docs/early-career researchers to submit a poster (work related to computing and other related areas) by emailing a poster abstract 250 words ukacmw@gmail.com (Before August 2nd, 2019, 23:59 EST). Successful posters will be included in the conference, and there will be prize awards for the top 3 posters. Students travel grants are also available. Students who want to be considered for travel grants should specify this at the time of the poster abstract submission.
